Book Now For Summer 2021

It’s that time of year again! With the sun out and football fans watching the EURO’s, what better time than now to add your child to one of our football camps.

With the option of a Boys, Girls or a goalkeeper camp we are expecting high numbers as always.

We advise that you book now to avoid disappointment as we will be limiting the numbers at each age group.

We look forward to seeing you all there.

Ours Girls Football Camp Is Back!

This Easter, we are running our second girls football camp! After a successful trial run in the summer, we are extremely happy to say that we already have over 30 girls booked onto both camps, after just one day of advertising.

The girls camp will be run by former professional footballer, Evie Clarke. Evie will be able to pass on all of her experience from her days of playing for the likes of England and Arsenal. We are however full focused on making sure that the girls enjoy their time with us, and motivated to keep playing.

The girls will be given the choice (as individuals) to stay in the girls groups or join the boys groups (at the same facility) if they wish. We feel it’s important to allow each player to develop at their own pace and the flexibility to move groups will help with this.

We are looking forward to growing this new project and hopefully encouraging more girls to play the game.

Hope to see you there!

We are now delivering Goalkeeper specialised camps!

After growing our holiday camps for outfield players, we are pleased to announce that we will now be providing specialised training for Goalkeepers. The training will be lead by UEFA A licensed coach, Reece Ottley. Reece is head of goalkeeping at Southend United’s academy and also spent the 2019-2020 football season, as first team Goalkeeper coach at Leyton Orient FC.

Like many of our players, Reece played for Hutton FC at a young age. He was then signed as a goalkeeper for Southend United, before moving onto Colchester United. At 16, Reece signed for Cardiff City where he won his first professional contract.

Reece will bring a lot of knowledge and professional links to our team, which we are sure will benefit many players attending our courses.

The Goalkeeper courses will be aimed at 8-16 year olds.

4-11 years – 9.30am – 3.30pm (the keeper will then join the outfield players for world cup games after lunch)

12-16 years – 12pm – 3.30pm

1-2-1 With Charlie Kelman And Jayden Fevrier

Throughout the summer we have been working with many players from all levels.

One of our sessions was with Southend United and USA u20 star Charlie Kelman & West Ham United and England school boy Jayden Fevrier.

Both attacking players attended our personalised session to focus on their key areas.

The session was planned and delivered by Former Southend United academy coach Matt Singh and former Colchester professional Tosin Olufemi. The players were also put through their paces with some strength and conditioning training by our qualified instructor Toyin.

You can watch the highlights of this session by clicking on the link below:

Coach Sam Moves Into Full Time Football!

One of our longest serving coaches Sam Ashford has left! However this is not something to be sad about, as he has moved into full time football. After spending five years with us, Sam has managed to achieve his dream of becoming a professional football player!

After setting the Conference South alight last season, there were a number of clubs chasing his signature. At the age of 24, Sam’s dream come true and he will now be playing in League 2 next season.

We would like to thank Sam for all of his hard work over the years and will be keeping a close eye on his career.

Our camps are still running

We are pleased to confirm that our summer 2021 holiday camps will still be running. We will be sticking to the FA COVID 19 guidelines to ensure we are doing our upmost to keep our young players safe.

Below is a brief example of some of the changes we will be making:

  • On arrival, parents will be required to line up 1 metre apart outside of the pavilion. They will be called in one by one to register their child
  • Players will be asked to use hand sanitizer on arrival and before leaving
  • Players will be grouped into small bubbles throughout
  • Each bubble will take their snack and lunch break at different times
  • Equipment will be disinfected throughout the day
  • The players presentation will be held earlier to prevent crowds on collection.

We will of course be keeping a close eye on the FA guidelines in case of any change.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

EFC team up with the BCFA for another season!

We are pleased to announce that we will be teaming up with the Brentwood Community Football Alliance Youth League again, for the 2019-2020 season.

The BCFA are one of the largest youth leagues in Essex, hosting over 320 teams. EFC have been supplying a coach to support the futsal league every Saturday morning.

Our staff have helped introduce young teams to the sport by offering guidance to both players and coaches. Due to the rapid expansion of the BCFA league, we have been asked to not only continue our partnership, but to extend our service on a Saturday with extra hours required.

We look forward to continuing our work together and providing a service to aid the development of all involved.

Another successful term!

Essex Schools Sports Coaching have had an outstanding school term. The impact made in our schools has been huge, according to the feedback from the staff/headteachers.

We have not only kept our high standards but we have also grown as a company. We have Added to our list of schools as well as extended the number of services that we can provide.

Entering the borough of Havering has been a real bonus. The mentoring and delivery supplied by our staff has left them in high demand. The young people in the borough have benefited hugely and we hope that it enables them to achieve their goals.

As much as our staff are looking forward to the Easter break, they are extremely excited to see how much more of a difference they can make to the young lives in Essex when they return.

School Success

2018 has proven to be another successful year for our talented team. Our talented staff have exceled within the school partnerships, motivating and mentoring many young pupils.

We recently began our first secondary partnership with a school in Essex. Our coach is used to mentor and challenger for disadvantaged and underachieving pupils. He also deliver the princes trust award and has received a lot of praise from both senior leadership and the pupils themselves.

With 2019 around the corner, we will be looking to progress our current partnerships even more to ensure that our schools are receiving the service they deserve and that we are having the impact that’s expected.

If you would like to discuss any new partnerships with us, please do not hesitate to contact us using the contact tab above.

From England to Africa, to the FA Cup

Three of our staff have had some fantastic news over the past three weeks:

Sam (pictured on the left) has been selected to represent a England C team for two fixtures in the Falkland islands. The team is made up of semi professional players from step 4 and is a great achievement for Sam. After a terrific start to the season with Witham Town, Sam deserves his chance and we wish him all the best for the trip.

Henry (pictured on the left) has been called up to play in an African cup of nations qualifying game for Kenya. He will travel to Nairobi to play against Sierra Leone next week. With the chance to play alongside Victor Wanyama from Tottenham Hotspur, we are sure that Henry will enjoy his first taste of international football. Good luck and safe travels!
